Eurythmics is a British duo created in London in 1980 by Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart.

They met in 1970 and worked together in bands called The Catch and The Tourists. After The Tourists' end, they continued their career under the name Eurythmics.

Their music style was pop and new wave. Annie sang and composed while Dave played the guitar, the bass and composed too.

Their first album was a failure, but the second, called Sweet Dreams (are made of this) propelled them to the forefront of the international scene.

Sweet Dreams is the most famous song of the band. It was covered by Steve Angello in 2005, Avicii in 2011 and Marylin Manson sang it in 1995. Emily Browning also sang a very dark version for the film Sucker Punch.
