Baba O’Riley is a song by the british rock n' roll band The Who.

It was written by Pete Townshend and appeared on the album Who’s Next in November 1971. The song was not released as a single in England and in the U.S.A.

The words "Baba O’Riley" do not appear in the song. The title is a mixture of two names: Meher Baba (an indian spiritual master) and Terry Riley (an avant garde musician.

Today the song is very famous because it has been used in the series CSI: New York.
